I'm currently writing about ads and a couple of propaganda that they use

Misleading Claims - Companies and Information

Big Mac Mcdonald's

Mcdonald's is not the only one that uses a misleading poster showing their product, most of the picture of their products were edited and had been manipulated for the ads. Most of their food does not look like the ones we see on the television. It rages from artificial products to mostly computer generated images. To make the food look more appetizing and delicious.

Use of sex appeal- Mostly on clothing and Automobiles

Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch (Fashion) - Advertising Campaign and Marketing Campaign

Since they have the same CEO I would just put this into a one subject for the use of sex appeal in their products. Not only do they show it on their posters or ads but this mentality does also apply on their physical market/store. Most of the people that works under the roof of their stores are mostly fit and appeared to be beautiful and handsome according to their own judgement of beauty. They also do have a limited size for people to buy, the largest size that you could go for is a size 10 (US, Canada)/ size 12 (UK) and size 40 (European). All of this is what the previous CEO (Mike Jeffries) of Hollister and Abercrombie wants.

Most of their stores has dim lights and blasting party songs that makes people feel like they're in a concert, with the addition of the attractive model like employees it does have a lot of people complaining it is hard to ask questions towards the employees. Not only that but there are reports that customers are being abused by employees, since some employees will shame their looks and weight.

BMW "Easy Ride"

Not only that it is sexual but rather more of a controversial ad since it does adds up the thought of the rape culture. It is presented that the man is sleeping with a woman that has a magazine covering her face, but why is that? Why would their be a cover on her face rather than the man seeing her face? The only think that came into mind is that the guy doesn't even care about her in the first place. She is just there to feed him his needs, which is pleasure and satisfaction. This is now directed to how the car comes into the picture by being presented on the page that the guy is looking at.

Reinforcing Stereotype

Mostly the Advertising Campaign here are between sexes (Male and Female) yet there can be racism that are involve.

Dungeons and Dragons = Reinforcing the "Loser or Geek Culture"

This advertisement teaches us to label people and sure enough we know of it until now. We then see Nerds and Geeks just to also label them as a loser and not one of the cool kids. Why is that? This poster shows the asocial side of some introverted Nerds that does a lot of geeky things that involves a guide of a certain system. It does involve a lot of patience and understanding. It doesn't make them losers, but it does shows that we people that doesn't belong in the Nerd or Geek culture could also be shame for our lack of self-control and learning capability. Also this ads maybe a wall between understanding different cultures and just simply giving us a solution of disagreeing and tagging.

Hiding Relevant Fact

Subway = Is it really fresh?

We all know that if you wanted to live a healthy life, you have got to eat fresh food. Between Mcdonalds and Subway we all know that Subway is a lot healthier since it serves fresh food. But is it really fresh? In our modern days technology had paved its ways to innovation from infrastructures, communication and many more. One of that is towards food. We have a way of threading food, like stitching up the threads of other food to create a peace similar or close to its appearance and taste.

Not only that this advertisement is within a kid's cartoon show, back then most of the people weren't aware of the negative side effects of smoking, like lung cancer, throat cancer, nasal problems and even oral problems.
